The biggest businesses today are the ones that appeal to emotions instead of ones that actually make intellectual sense. For example, the flower business. I think flowers are wonderful in the natural world, after all, God created them wonderfully! However, I don't see how and why the flower business has become as massive as a business that it has. Okay, hopefully, you've selected a decent niche to build your list in by now. It may be golf, sports, medicine, technology, anything at all! But pick something that you are interested in and know something about. A good way to think is - if you could open a shop on any single topic, and target any single kind of customers, who would they be, and what kind of shop would it be?

However, your business is the shop, NOT your list. Your list is a bunch of friends that you are giving advice to. Would you recommend a poor product to your friends? No you wont. So don't do it with your list just in an attempt to get some quick profits.
